Tom and Donna have lived in the area for more than forty years. Both are former teachers, Tom, a math teacher, and Donna, a home economics teacher. In 1988 they moved to Reedsburg when they purchased the home on Park Street in Reedsburg. With the help of their three children, Brad, Brenda, and Becky, they worked to bring back the beauty of the home both inside and outside. In 1989 when Parkview opened the children helped out in the business. Brad graduated from UW-Stevens Point in May of 1999 and is now working as an arborist for the city of Waukesha WI. In August 2005, Brad married Stephanie Egner in Glacier National Park, MT. We made a family vacation of that special event. Becky, our web master, graduated from UW-Platteville May, 2001 and is working as a structural engineer for Strass-Maguire in Mequon, WI. Brenda graduated from UW-Eau Claire May, 2001 in math education and is teaching math at Verona High School. Once in a while, the girls will fill in for their parents as innkeepers so Tom & Donna can have some R&R. Tom enjoys hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. Tending to the small family garden in the summer is another of his interests. He works in the produce department of a grocery store. Getting the inside tips on the best produce is convenient in planning breakfasts for our guest. Donna enjoys cooking and searching out new recipes and ideas to use in the B&B. She has done the decorating of the B&B. Taking care of the flower gardens is something that Donna enjoys in the summer. Remodeling the kitchen at Parkview in the spring of 2000 was a dream come true for Donna. It is so much more convenient now to use. When time permits, Tom and Donna enjoy traveling and staying in other B&B’s. In April of 1998, they traveled to southern France to visit their two daughters who were studying in Aix-en-Provence and Toulon. While there, they experienced the hospitality of French B&B's. In January of 2002, they spent fifteen days in the Turkey visiting their daughter, Brenda. They are looking forward to more travels when they retire from their work outside the B&B in 2010 when time permits. |
